JunkLuggers of Central VA is RVA's only environmentally sustainable junk and furniture removal business. Their goal is to keep 100% of usable/repurposable items out of area landfills. Instead of dumping, they’ve developed a network of local area charities to donate gently-used items that can be used and appreciated by those less fortunate. Anything accepted for donation generates a tax-deductible receipt back to the customer. If items cannot be donated, they are recycled.

How has their business shifted as a result of the COVID-19 crisis?

Due to health concerns, JunkLuggers created a touch-free, non-contact "Curbside/Driveway/Garage Pickup" service whereby the customer can gather their items outside and call to schedule a pickup. They will swing by and provide an onsite estimate over the phone, pick up all the items and take payment over the phone. All with no physical contact or entry into the home. Additionally, full, comprehensive service is still provided with the Luggers using sanitizer, gloves, breathing masks and all necessary precautions.

What is JunkLuggers doing to give back to others?

Thousands of items are donated annually to local charities and area nonprofits, JunkLuggers will also donate a percentage of sales to The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation and help to furnish the women's safe houses for the YWCA. You'll also find them donating their time and resources at countless other area events where their trucks and manpower can be utilized.
