CMG Small Business Strong Features Goodfynd

Goodfynd is a SaaS (Software as a Service) startup optimized for food truck owners and lovers! Their app allows food truck owners to manage business logistics, provides access to new revenue opportunities, and an ordering system. Their corporate and residential partners are able to source food trucks in minutes for events, use the app to locate trucks in real-time, and pre-order.

How has their small business shifted as a result of the COVID-19 crisis?

As a business, Goodfynd had to shift focus from corporate events to meeting customers where they are --at home. They started to partner with local apartment buildings and HOAs to provide a contactless amenity for hungry residents during lunch and dinner hours. Resident's can either pre-order or order meals in-real time from their app or on The truck makes their meals onsite and they receive a notification when their food is ready for curbside pick-up. This shift has allowed Goodfynd to continue to provide profitable opportunities to food truck owners, and a valuable and safe amenity to resident's working and parenting at home.

Although they were able to pivot their business, they saw this pandemic as a call to action to give back to the communities that have supported us. They were able to leverage their technology to create Goodfynd Give, a philanthropic initiative to feed front line heroes and further support local small businesses. Goodfynd users are now able to support front line heroes by donating a meal(s) through the platform. Goodfynd’s first partnership is with the GW Rodham Institute, meal donations go to feed medical staff and first responders at GW Hospital, United Medical Center, and GW Medical Faculty Associates. Their goal is to provide 3,000+ meals over the next 8 weeks through this partnership.

What has Goodfynd done to be innovative and creative in order for their business to survive this economic crisis?

Luckily for them, they didn't need to make any technological shifts. Instead Goodfynd had to pivot our marketing and sales strategies to target new audiences while maintaining their core business values. They are fortunate that their pivot was a natural one and that the solution serves a real need in our communities.

How can you support this small business during this time?

You can help in 3 ways:

+ If you are local to the DC metro area, please consider donating a meal to our front line heroes. They are risking their lives to save ours, and the need for meals is great.

+ If you are interested in bringing some delicious food to your apartment building or neighborhood please email them at

+ If you are a group who wants to support a cause through meal donations consider creating a Goodfynd Give campaign. Together, this community can make a difference!
