Thank you to all who attended our November Coffee + Connections event. We'd like to extend a special thank you to our speaker, Executive Director of Downtown Ashland Association, Maggie Beal Longest. If you were unable to attend, we have provided a recap and full video of our discussion.

Coffee + Connections is a monthly event in which a small business entrepreneur shares their story and speaks about the strengths and successes of their marketing efforts. Though events are currently virtual, the first 15 minutes are still reserved for networking and introductions, building strong connections in our business community. This time, we got to know what made Maggie the person she is today, and we learned how her impressive career path guided her to the Downtown Ashland Association.

The Downtown Ashland Association is a community non-profit organization that works in partnership with the town of Ashland to revitalize their historic downtown and ensure their local businesses and community excel. In this interview, Maggie touched on ways we could help support Ashland. The simplest being… visit! She dives into the renovations and expansions they are making on the town, the effects the pandemic has had on the town's local businesses, and the steps they are taking to turn Ashland into a prime tourist destination in Virginia. We ended with a collaborative Q&A between Maggie and our guests, followed by everyone chiming in with their favorite things to do in Ashland.
